Cavern vs. Nest vs. Deckhouse: Choosing a Table Rock Lake Suite
For the most dramatic setting at Grotto Resort, choose a Cavern Suite: it is built into the stone hillside with a private hot tub overlooking Table Rock Lake. For treetop views at a middle price, choose a Nest Suite. For ground-level ease and the best value, choose a Deckhouse Suite. All ten suites share the same core comforts, so the decision really comes down to setting, outdoor space and budget.
At a glance
- Cavern Suites (2): built into the natural stone hillside, private hot tub, from $550 per night
- Nest Suites (3): treehouse-style, elevated about 20 feet, private hot tub, from $450 per night
- Deckhouse Suites (5): ground-level private pavilions, from $350 per night
- Every suite: lake view, king bed, soaking tub, kitchenette, about 600 square feet, sleeps two
- Check-in and check-out: 4:00 PM and 11:00 AM, contactless by text
What every suite has in common
Before comparing, it helps to know what stays the same. Grotto is an adults-only resort for guests 25 and older, with just ten private suites overlooking Table Rock Lake, within about three miles of the Branson Strip.
Every suite is roughly 600 square feet and designed for two, with Scandinavian-inspired minimalist interiors. Each one has a lake view, a king bed, a soaking tub in the bathroom, a kitchenette and premium hair care products. Select premium wines and spirits are available in-suite, subject to inventory.
Arrival is the same, too. You receive your gate code and suite code by text, so there is no front desk to stop at. Standard check-in is 4:00 PM, and same-day bookings can check in from 5:00 PM.
The Cavern Suite: built into the stone
The two Cavern Suites are Grotto's signature rooms. They are built into the natural stone hillside, which gives them a sheltered, set-apart feeling that is hard to find anywhere else in Branson.
Each Cavern Suite has a private veranda and a private hot tub overlooking the lake. Cave 1 adds one more detail: a waterfall curtain that falls over the balcony, so you hear moving water while you look out across the lake.
Choose the Cavern if
- You are celebrating an anniversary, engagement or milestone birthday
- The setting itself is the point of the trip
- You want the most distinctive suite on the property
Cavern Suites start at $550 per night. With only two of them, it is wise to reserve early if your dates are fixed.
The Nest Suite: a view from the treetops
The three Nest Suites are treehouse-style and raised about 20 feet off the ground. That height changes the experience: you look out across the canopy toward the lake, with panoramic views from the private veranda.
Like the Cavern Suites, each Nest has its own private hot tub. It is a strong choice in fall, when the trees around you turn color, and on clear evenings when the view stretches out over the water.
Choose the Nest if
- Views matter most to you
- You want a private hot tub at a lower rate than the Cavern
- You like the idea of a treehouse without giving up any comfort
Nest Suites start at $450 per night.
The Deckhouse Suite: ground-level and easygoing
The five Deckhouse Suites are ground-level private pavilions, each with its own entrance and veranda. They have the same interiors and lake views as the other suites, in a more relaxed, grounded setting.
Deckhouse 1 through 4 each have a private two-person hot tub. Deckhouse 5 has a private hammock instead, which suits couples who would rather read outside than soak. One Deckhouse Suite is ADA-accessible. If you need it, call ahead so the team can make sure it is reserved for you.
Choose the Deckhouse if
- You want the best value, from $350 per night
- Ground-level access matters to you
- You need an ADA-accessible suite
- You are planning a longer stay and want to put more of your budget toward the trip

A few booking tips
Book early for fall weekends. With only ten suites in total, and just two Caverns, popular dates fill quickly during festival season and the holidays.
Know the cancellation window. Your deposit is refundable, less a $25 fee, up to and including 21 days before arrival. That gives you some flexibility if you book well ahead.
Book direct. You can reserve on grottoresort.com or by phone at 833-447-6886. If you are shopping for someone else, gift cards are available by phone.
Plan meals ahead. Grotto does not have a restaurant or room service, so many guests pick up groceries for the kitchenette or make dinner reservations in town. The Strip is only a few minutes away, and Branson Landing is about 10 to 15 minutes by car.
Whichever you choose
There is no wrong answer here. Every suite at Grotto is private, quiet and made for two, with the lake in view. Pick the setting that suits your trip, and leave the rest to the stillness. If you would like help deciding, our team is glad to talk it through by phone or through our contact page.
